What is this Service?

A Trade License is an official permission letter issued by your local Municipal Corporation, Municipality, or Gram Panchayat that allows you to carry out a specific trade or business from a particular location. It confirms that your business follows all local rules, safety standards, and does not cause any nuisance or harm to the public or surrounding area. Every shop owner, restaurant, hotel, clinic, factory, warehouse, or service provider running a business from a fixed address must have a Trade License. Without it, your business can be sealed, fined, or shut down by local authorities at any time. A Trade License does not prove ownership of the property it simply means the local government has approved your business activity at that address. Trade licenses are renewed every year, typically before 31st March. The fee depends on your city, type of business, and size of the business premises.
